Where to Use

For use on bare or unfinished interior wood including floors, doors, woodwork, furniture and cabinets. Safe for children's furniture

Preparing Your Surfaces

General: Clean and dry surface thoroughly, removing all dirt, dust, wax and wood marks.
New Wood: Lightly wipe surface of clean wood with a damp sponge to raise the grain. Allow to dry and then sand smooth. Repeat process if not smooth. Remove sanding dust before staining. Use Cabot Water-Borne Pre-Stain Conditioner when staining soft-grained wood such as pine or plywood.
Painted or Varnished Wood: Remove all paint and varnish with sandpaper or paint and varnish remover following manufacturer's instructions and safety precautions. Then, follow new wood instructions.

Application

Stir well before and frequently during use. Intermix containers of the same color. Before staining entire surface, always check color by applying stain to an extra piece of the same wood. Apply a uniform coat using a polyester brush. On rough textured surfaces, a brush pad may be used. Depth of color can be controlled by wiping the stain with a clean, lint-free cloth to remove the desired amount of excess stain. If a deeper color is desired, an additional application of stain may be applied after the first coat is dried.
